Looking ahead: Insights and Objectives

Looking ahead: Insights and Objectives

posted on 8 February 2019

As 2019 kicks into high gear, it’s a great time to assess where we are as industries, and where we’re going next.

We’re pleased to be releasing two resources that will help continue to guide you and your organisation as you work to improve rates of diversity and inclusion, and ultimately reach the #20for21 marker. Download the toolkit here.

Our 2018 insights document explores the results of our inaugural Founding Partner and Change Maker survey initiated last year, which helped us gather baseline data about the people within our partner organisations, and the work that’s been done so far. It also includes stats from Engineering New Zealand’s most recent remuneration survey, and NZIA’s member statistics in order to paint a full picture of where our industries stand.

Our objectives document helps to answer the all-important question, “What can we do next?” We hope that these six steps, and the case studies of fellow firms that accompany them, can help you think about what to do next.

We’ve now featured nearly 20 people and organisations on our website, in addition to other articles chock full of links and inspiration. From stories covering how an organisation has implemented an employee and community wellness programme, to event recaps offering tips, learnings and tangible resources, the existing resources on our site are here to help.  If you want to learn more from these people and organisations doing great things and would like us to connect you, we’re happy to do so. You can always get in touch at hello@diversityagenda.org

We also recognise that smaller firms need different kinds of support than their larger counterparts. We want to know how to best help you succeed, so be on the lookout for a call-to-action for smaller firms coming in the next few weeks.
